ESTABLISHMENT OF THE COMPANY AND ITS GRADUAL DEVELOPMENT

The establishment of a private transportation company dates back to 6th September 1990. A first truck was acquired in the same year and other trucks were bought gradually. In 1997, the firm obtained the quality certificatei ISO 9001 for intrastate and domestic transportation under a regulated temperature (ATP) and transportation of dangerous substances (ADR). In 2000, the company QUICKRANS Ltd. is established and its founder, Mr Stanislav Schreiber, becomes the executive of the firm. Unlike most of other transportation companies, the establishment of QUICKTRANS Ltd. is not connected with privatisation of complete or partial companies of former ČSAD with long-term traditions in carrying out road vehicle transport 

The owner, Mr Stanislav Schreiber, thinks back: “When I decided to do business in the sphere of transport after the Velvet revolution in 1990, I really started from nothing. Factually, with one truck that I borrowed money for from my friends, because it was completely impossible to obtain a credit from a bank for a small business. Of course, I drove the truck myself and I obtained orders for it, too.

Even at that time there were mostly orders to Scandinavia which we mostly concentrated on till recently. Specifically, I transported malt from a malt plant in Prostějov to Sweden. When we started prospering, I bought another truck and hired another driver. Gradually, we increased the number of trucks up to four, five and so on and the number of employees increased in the same way. Essential development of the business – at that time still under the label of Schreiber Stanislav QUICKTRANS – began in 1997 when we started to buy from ten to thirty vehicles a year. In 2000 we changed the firm into a legal entity and we established QUICKTRANS Ltd. which fixed assets were in the amount of 54 million crowns and there were 70 trucks in the fleet. There have never been any financial sources from “abroad”, so we are still a purely Czech transportation firm. I always emphasise this fact because we pride ourselves on it.” 

At the present time, the company QUICKTRANS Ltd. has 112 employees and nearly one hundred vehicles in its fleet. It has two plants at its disposal: the firm management, dispatching and administrative offices have their seat in Všemina, the grounds in Slušovice provides a quality base for machinery maintenance, parking places and own oil petrol station.
